Project Fresh Light is about connecting and
communicating the very best in mental health and substance abuse treatment
for Wisconsin's adolescents. A key objective of Project Fresh Light
is to provide the resources for partners to connect with and educate
each other. The following links below represent some of the many resources
available to our partners looking for information regarding substance
abuse and treatment alternatives. This list will be continuously updated.

Based in Wisconsin, the Center for Democracy in Action, Inc. is a 501(c)(3)
organization dedicated to assuring that voices that are too often marginalized
or unheard are not only heard, but are understood as important assets
and contributors to the common good. We work to increase the spaces,
places and events for inclusive dialogue and strategic grassroots action.
Our goal is to be a broad resource for individuals and organizations
to facilitate working together to build healthy, viable, proactive communities.

The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) of the Substance Abuse
and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), within the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), promotes the quality
and availability of community-based substance abuse treatment services
for individuals and families who need them. CSAT works with States and
community-based groups to improve and expand existing substance abuse
treatment services under the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment
Block Grant Program. CSAT also supports SAMHSA’s free treatment
referral service to link people with the community-based substance abuse
services they need.

Connections Counseling is a AODA clinic founded by the director, Shelly
Dutch. During its time, Connections h
as helped many troubled teens get
back on their feet, and encouraged them to help other struggling teens
in the program. That is the foundation of our program, making connections
and helping your peers. People that have been shunted around the legal
systems and other treatment centers for years have found acceptance,
care, and help at Connections. While AODA is the main focus, we try
to help teens with any issues at hand, because all of your teen's struggles
and stressors can contribute to unhealthy habits.

Join Together is a program of the Boston University School of Public
Health. Since 1991 it has been the nation's leading provider of information,
strategic planning assistance, and leadership development for community-based
efforts to advance effective alcohol and drug policy, prevention, and treatment. They believe problems associated
with alcohol and drugs can be best addressed at the community level.

The MOMSTELL goal is to develop a resource to join concerned parents

The State Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse is a statutorily mandated
council and provides leadership and coordination regarding alcohol and
other drug abuse (AODA) issues confronting the state.

organizations in Wisconsin that treat substance use disorders. WADTPA

White Bison, Inc. is an American Indian non profit organization based
in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Through White Bison, it's Founder and
President Don Coyhis, Mohican Nation, has offered healing resources
to Native America since 1988. White Bison offers sobriety, recovery,
addictions prevention, and wellness/Wellbriety learning resources to
the Native American community nation wide. Many non-Native people also
use White Bison's healing resource products, attend it learning circles,
and volunteer their services.

The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation (WWHF) was founded in 1998 by
former First Lady Sue Ann Thompson and focuses on six important women's
health issues. The WWHF is located in Madison, but serves the entire
state, hosting and organizing outreach and education events all over
Wisconsin.
